When I first got to Glisan Post Acute, I was nervous and didn’t know the environment, but once I had been here for a couple days, I was able to feel comfortable. The group activities were a great way to connect with other people, which made everything less scary. There’s a sense of comradery since you’re all here for a reason. Everyone’s here to heal and the connection with other people makes that easier. When I came to Glisan Post Acute, my brain wasn’t functioning properly but with the daily help in a controlled environment, I was able to regain most of my brain function. The different areas of care that I have access to have helped me regain my physical strength and memory at a rate that I didn’t think would be possible. They have quality healthcare at Glisan Post Acute and you have access to everything you need to maintain your personal hygiene and stay active and moving and in shape. The gym is fully equipped for anything anybody would need to regain and maintain your physical health and then there’s programs and individuals here that help you with mental and cognitive stuff too. The food is good and nutritious. You get a good size portion and there’s good variety.  You definitely get the nutrition you need, which is important because I wasn’t really getting it at home. The facility itself is also very clean. Every time I look around, someone’s cleaning the place. The floors are clean, the bathrooms are clean, the gym is clean. The overall cleanliness is way above par. I am very grateful that I have had the opportunity to be at Glisan Post Acute. I feel very fortunate because not everyone has access to resources like this and it’s a huge benefit and privilege to be able to get this quality of care. If I hadn’t have come here, I would still be in the cycle of drinking myself sick and going to the hospital which could’ve led to permanent hospital stays and eventually death. In a sense, coming here has saved my life.  Glisan Post Acute was a life saver.

This place has been great, another home away from home. I found my good friend Pam here. All the staff is really on top of things, they’re all wonderful.

I was recently transferred here from OHSU hospital on May 6. I was very skeptical due to my experience at another facility in 2021, but the longer I was here I was very well appreciated and taken very good care of and my experience is wonderful. If I ever had to come back to a skilled nursing facility again I would come here. My only problem was that they need to be better about logging your clothing and making sure it’s tagged before it leaves but other than that everything was good. The food, people, everything so if you wanna come here, please check it out. It’s very important that you do

This place is respectable with good CNAs that take time out to help you and show that you can get better and show that everything can be better for you. It’s good therapy, they encourage you and keep you walking. They keep you doing all different types of stuff like motivate you and show you can improve. They have good lunches that keep you going through the day. They have a nice back yard where you can go outside and enjoy the sun and relax and get determined that you can complete your goal. There’s much love here with the people who keep you smiling and laughing and tend to you whenever you need help. Miss Teri keeps you smiling with coffee breaks and activities like building a birdhouse and movie nights with your fellow residents.
